Volunteer Opportunities

Tahoe Family Solutions is in need of additional volunteers.  Whether the value of your time is spent on reading with a child in the Homework Help Club, assisting customers at our local thrift store or participating in fundraising events, you are sure to experience the satisfaction of knowing that your time has helped children and families in our community.

The Homework Help Club
Volunteer one hour of your time per day at the Incline Elementary School or volunteer one hour on a particular day of the week.  You will make a significant difference in the academic achievements of a child.  Please call Leslie at (775) 298-0204.

Thrift Store
TFS’s Thrift store is in need of volunteers to assist with customer service, sorting, pricing and displaying store items.  Volunteer some of your time in helping our community members get good deals and quality items.  Volunteers are also needed in the transportation of donated goods to the store.  If you are interested, please call Lynn at (775) 833-4414.

Fundraising and Family Events
TFS’s hosts fun and exciting events year round.  Our annual Sink’em and Hold’em Golf and Poker Tournament takes place every September at the Championship Golf Course and Chateau in Incline Village.  Volunteers are needed to help with decorations, registration, raffle ticket sales, beverage sales and guest services.  

TFS also hosts annual “Speaker Events” (usually in the late summer or early fall) in which volunteers can assist with event planning, registration and sponsorships.

“Brunch with Santa” is a family event held in December each year.  Volunteers are needed to help the children with arts and crafts projects, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, decorations and registration.
